On Friday 2nd November a sporting evening was held to raise money towards Oscar’s fund. This event was a huge success as it raised over £10,000 on the sporting auction alone. Added to this figure was £3,000 for the stand up bingo and raffle, so over £13,000 was raised and a wonderful evening was had by all. Joining us on that evening were Steve Bull from Wolverhampton Wanderers and
Bob Taylor from West Bromwich Albion. Master of ceremonies was Lord Digby Jones who’s personal contribution of 2 separate visits to the House of Lords raised £1400 . The comedian for the evening was Mal Rich who helped make the evening go with a swing. Highlights of the evening included the signed framed Liverpool shirt going for £1,200, 2 Albion shirts raising over £1,000 and 2 Wolves shirt raising £850. A limited edition piece of modern art raising £400 and the Formula One packages raising £975. Singer Beth Dunn was asked to sing if someone paid £250, which she duly and spontaneously did for Oscar. In all 25 items were sold to a great audience of Oscar’s Friends. Thank you to everyone who provided auction items or raffle prizes, to those who helped on the evening and those who bid (be they successful or not). Special thanks must also go to
Chris and
Jane Dunn who organised the evening, their tireless continued effort has now helped raise almost £30,000 for Oscar. We will be forever in your debt. The total on this evening has actually realised the target set for £100,000 in just one year. Once again, thank you to all Oscar’s Friends.

Chris Fradgley
