OSCAR'S NEWSLETTER CHRISTMAS 2006

Oscar’s newsletter

Wow what an exciting time I’m having! Lots of great people are helping me, I feel very lucky.

Mom and dad have told me all about the fundraising, mom, nanny Jane, uncle Terry and lots of their weight watcher friends are doing a sponsored slim, my friend Emma and her friends at the Brownies did a sponsored aerobics, my new friend David Vaughn from Ambelcote Furnishing is helping with lots of things, he even has some posters of me in his shop window.  Dad went to a variety night at Lower Gornal British Legion and people there heard about me and gave me lots and lots of money, then my uncle Reg went to the same place the next week to do some Djing at a soul night and the same thing happened again, mom and dad couldn’t believe it.  Lots of sporting clubs, golf and rugby clubs etc are helping me and there’s a Christmas raffle too!

Talking of Christmas, mom and dad took my brother Max and I to Center Parcs last week to visit Santa, he’s going to get me a fishing rod and pirate outfit if I’m a good boy.  Max just wants the wrapping paper as he likes the noise it makes! When I was there I went on a pony ride to Santa’s grotto and later on mom took me and my friend Finley on a carriage ride, it was great fun.  We went swimming every day and I was jumping in on my own and swimming with my arm bands on, I’ve just gone up to the big boys class at my swimming club now and hope to do a whole width for a sponsored swim in the New Year.

On Saturday 9th December we are going to listen to the carollers at Wall Heath, they are also doing a collection for me then and on Christmas Day at the Unified Churches in Wall Heath, Wombourne and Swindon.

Dad says that we can put our Christmas tree up on Saturday afternoon, I can’t wait, I love all the twinkling lights and chocolate treats that you hang from the tree.  Mom and dad are helping Santa get some of the presents this year as he can’t do it all on his own.

Next year we have lots of exciting things happening, uncle Reg is doing a Valentines Disco and uncle Chris and auntie Jane Dunn are organising a Proms Night for me on March 31st, then later in the summer my friend Alex’s nan and granddad, Vivien and Errol Mason are having a garden party at their house.  I can’t wait.

Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and a wonderful new year, thank you very much for helping me.

Lots of love

Oscar xx
