OSCAR'S NEWSLETTER EASTER 2007

Oscar’s newsletter - Easter 2007

Hello again everyone, another holiday! And this one has got chocolate.  My cousin Alfie and I had an Easter egg hunt in the garden, we had to find 4 small chocolate eggs each and some chicks, and the winner got a big egg.  I won the egg but Alfie got one too. Just before Easter lots of things happened, in the middle of March I had an operation on my hand to try and make it a bit better, it’s still bandaged up, and mom puts a sock on it to keep the bandage clean!  Then my little brother Max was one year old and we had a little party for him with balloons, I helped him open his presents.  Just after that we had a proms night for me, dad says that everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the singing and were very generous with my fundraising.  I wish I had been there but it was passed my bed time, I sent a video of me though so everyone could see what a big boy I’m getting.

At Easter we went to Chatsworth House and saw lots of secret doors in the big house, the man showed me two special doors that lead to a secret passage, I was very excited.  I wanted to see all the knights in their armour because I love fighting.  We had a picnic there and visited the animals and stroked their fur.  One of the pigs had had piglets that day; they were very small and squeaky.  Dad didn’t like the smell and wouldn’t come in.  Later on I had pizza and ice cream.

This weekend I am going to be a Mascot at Dudley Kingswinford Rugby Club when they play against Walsall this should be fun.The same day my uncle Reg and auntie Julia are going to a country and western night in
Smethwick, they have been raising money for me too and uncle Reg is going to pick up the cheque.

Mom and Dad have said that there are lots of things happening soon, bands are singing songs, a fashion show, a dramatic arts showcase (whatever that is) and lots more.

In a couple of weeks mom and I are going to Dorset for the first time to get me some new legs, I will have to go six times in all, but it will be worth it.  The legs have been paid for by all my new friends. Thanks guys.

Hope you all have a fantastic Easter, thank you very much for helping me.

Lots of love
